Not cast iron but blacksmith made wrought iron. Nice three prong (fork like) tip on both sides of the tongs. Not sure what these were used for but they tested negative for lead or heavy metals, so they’ll be fine for food use. Cleaned and seasoned. Hand peened attachment. Delicate and finely made. These would be amazing as a display piece.

Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.
No chips, cracks.

Museum quality! and when I say that there is no exaggeration, the only other one of these we know of is in the Buffalo Bill Cody museum. Likely made by a blacksmith on the western plains, or west coast of the United States. This skillet certainly predates the Civil War and could date back to 1800. It’s a very unique and special piece. Has some attributes of both cast iron and wrought iron, but there are enough hammer marks on the bottom to makes us lean towards it not being a flask cast piece, but a wrought iron piece. There appears to be a gate/grind mark near the neck of the handle. Hook at the end of the handle was probably for hanging.
Unmarked.
15” 1/4 diameter. handle is roughly 13” 1/4 long
Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.
No cracks, chips. Meant for fire use, not meant to sit flat. Light pitting, tool marks and other signs of age are present. While you could use this piece it really is a historical piece that should be put on display.

Blacksmith made wrought iron straight skewer over 15” long with the number 19 marked in the side. I suspect this was made for cooking meat, but I’m not 100% sure on that. Has a large circular ring with a 2” 1/2 diameter for gripping on one end. VERY sharp.
Only marking is the number 19 which appears to have been hammered into the iron using a die. Because of that, and the fact it is blacksmith work it was probably made after 1850, but prior to 1870, when cheaper man made wire would have been available for use for items like this.

A real mystery piece, and a very uncommon one as few foundries made dutch ovens in this size. This is a gate marked dutch oven body made after 1865 but before 1900. Gate is wide and crude which suggests an earlier date but the bail is machined wire, which was not available until after 1962. While the bail could be a replacement, I don’t feel comfortable dating he piece as earlier. Pot interior surface is pitted but not enough to prevent use. Markings are all on bottom and are raised and crude.
Marked: “8 IN 1” on the bottom surrounding the bottom gate
8” diameter, ~3 high
Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.
No cracks, chips. Wobbles on it’s gate. Cooking surface is pitted but not enough to prevent use. Will only get better.

Nice older six cups baking pan (the cookies/cakes they made were known as gems – hence the name gem pan) for pastries in the fluted design known as the “Turks Head”. Over 100 years, possibly even 150 years old. Wing style handles and twin gate marks on the center cups that have been mostly smoothed. Sits on the gates, so does not sit flat on a sheet of glass.
Unmarked
Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.
No chips, cracks. Sits on it’s gate marks so there is wobble, but that was typical of the gated ones. Cooking surface is typical of gems of that era.

These are works of art. Very finely cast with incredible detail.
You do find some wonderful non cast iron things when you go picking and this is one which honestly will make the most amazing spoon rest. This one is in the design of a dog on point. Can’t tell if it is a spaniel or pointer but the detail is excellent.
Marked: “JB 1628”
5” 7/8 x 4” 1/4
No cracks or chips.

These mysterious unmarked breakfast skillets turn up from time to time and cause some speculation about who really made them. While some do think these were made by Lodge, others just aren’t sure. Odds are they were made a store brand by a smaller foundry who sold them to a number of outlets who put a paper label on them. They are cool little pieces with absolutely no markings, and they are certainly less common than the Wagner and Griswold models. Cooking surface has the typical pebbled finish of breakfast griddles as the piece could not be polished the same way. There are some casting flaw visible here and a few tool marks, but nothing which should effect use. Tiny bit of wobble means this will not be good for a glass top stove but should be great on gas or coils.

8” 3/8 x 8” 5/8 plus the handle.
Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.
No cracks or chips. Tiny wobble when tested on a sheet of glass. Cooking surface is good, but pebbled to the touch and will only improve with use

If bang for the buck for a user skillet is what you are looking for BSR (Birmingham Stove & Range) is the way to go. Great user skillets with a lot of weight make these great for searing and blackening. Nice quality for the price.
Beautiful Red Mountain skillet from BSR’s earliest line. Outstanding glassy cooking surface which will only improve as tiny flea bite tool marks fill with seasoning. Sits flat. Will be an amazing user. Typical heat ring, and handle design.
8” 1/8 diameter (excluding handle)
Marked “5.A” on the bottom.
Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.
No cracks, chips or wobble when tested on a sheet of glass. Cooking surface is glassy to the touch. Will only get better.

Not perfect by any means, but it should be a good user for someone at a bargain price. Made by Birmingham Stove and Range this is one of the deeper 12” camp ovens. Stands on three legs. Designed for cooking with coals or with fire. Raised number on lid. Piece was extensively restored and you can see a line on the interior wall where the seasoning has not taken quite evenly. That should even out and improve with use. Interior of the oven is slightly pebbled to the touch as typical of later BSR pieces with some minor scars where we removed rust. Big flaw on this one is that the tab handled lid missing a good chip out of it (about 3” 1/2 long) at the rim. You should be able to place coals around that spot. Will only improve with use.
Marked: “12 In” in raised numbers/letters on lid, and “Made in USA 12” on the bottom of oven.
12” diameter, 5” interior depth, 1” 1/2 leg height. Lid is 12” 3/4 wide at the lip.
Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.
No cracks, chips or wobble. Cooking surface is typical later unpolished BSR, with a pebbly to the touch cooking surface and some rougher spots where we removed rust. Will improve with use.

This is an old hand forged mezzaluna/ulu style knife made for rolling to chop or scraping. It appears to be hand forged, but I cannot 100% swear to that. There are no markings anywhere on the blade or handle. Blade is roughly 5” 1/2 long and is about 4” 1/2 inches set away from the 5” 1/4 long handle.
Based on style and materials I’d say this is a pre 1900 knife.
