This is a BSR (Birmingham Stove and Range) new Century skillet from the 1960s. Sits almost dead flat, with great polishing marks (Often mistakenly called mill marks). Surface of this one is excellent although you can see that there is some slight roughness from the sand mold it was cast in along the bottom where the floor of the skillet meets the wall in one spot. Will in no way effect cooking and will even smooth out better with use. Like all BSR skillet this has a heat ring and the distinctive shaped to the underside of the handle.
Marked: “Made in USA No. 3 6 5/8 In”
6” 5/8 diameter
Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.
No cracks, chips. Tiny whisper of wobble (but so small I’m just not sure if I’m imagining it or not) Cooking surface is smooth and polished . Very minor flaws. Should only improve with use.
As always we are happy to take back pieces if you are not 100% satisfied. (Please see return policy)
