Please note all pictures on our site are of the actual piece you will receive, not a stock photo of a similar piece. Additionally all our pieces unless marked otherwise are fully restored and seasoned. Just wash them and start cooking.
Nice BSR (Birmingham Stove and Range) Century skillet from the 1950s. Sits flat, smoothed but not stone polished (factory finish) – so it has a slightly textured surface. This is a solid user level skillet that will be great for searing, and general cooking. Like all BSR skillets this has a heat ring and the distinctive shaped to the underside of the handle. There is a small casting flaw in the heat ring of this piece.
Marked: “Made in USA No. 5 8 1/8 In”
8” 1/8 diameter excluding spouts and handles.
Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.
No cracks, chips or wobble. Cooking surface is non-polished BSR and is rougher than the glassy polished pieces that BSR produced. There are only a few tiny flea bite tool marks that should fill in easily with use. Should only improve with use.
As always we are happy to take back pieces if you are not 100% satisfied. (Please see return policy)
