Sold as found but this one need NOTHING. Tinning is great, copper is beautiful
French made copper saucepan made after the dovetailing era – this one is a super heavy (and I mean heavy – it weighs a whopping 5 pounds) piece with thick walls (4mm thick, and non-magnetic). Very high quality. With some polish will be a gorgeous display and user piece. Cast iron handle. This piece was likely made by E. Dehillerin of Paris, who has been in business since 1820. The numbered peens (so far as I know) were only used by Dehillerin.
Marked “Made in France” up on the wall near the handle. Interior peens are marked with what looks to be a “16” or maybe “76” but I think it is a stylized 1.
7” 1/4 diameter, 4” deep, 7” handle
Unrestored. Sold as found.
As always we are happy to take back pieces if you are not 100% satisfied. (Please see return policy)
