I’m pretty sure from the artwork on the sides of this that it is Japanese. I think maybe it was meant to be a planter, but I’m not quite sure as this really is loaf shaped to pretty much the exact size my wife uses when she makes banana bread. It does have small legs. In any case it’s interesting and cool. Casting quality is midlevel. Better than ‘d expect for a planter, but not polished enough to be high end cookware. Some casting flaws are present.
No markings aside from art on side which shows pagoda’s in the mountains.

Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.
No cracks, chips, or wobble when tested on a sheet of glass.
