Please note all pictures on our site are of the actual piece you will receive, not a stock photo of a similar piece. Additionally all our pieces unless marked otherwise are fully restored and seasoned. Just wash them and start cooking.
This is a mystery piece. Looks identical to no notch Lodge and is believed to have been concurrent with the no notch Lodge c. 1910-1930. I personally wonder if they were a made by Lodge as a economy brand, or for a specific retailer. The only real difference save for the “P 1” or “P 2” marking on the piece seems to be that the sizes are all a little bit smaller. Cooking surface is very good – but it isn’t quite glassy. it should get there but there are some casting flaws and tool marks.
Marked: with a raised number “8” in on the top of the handle as well as a “P 1”. The underside is totally unmarked.
10” Diameter excluding spouts.
Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.
No cracks or chips. Wobbles when tested on a sheet of glass. Cooking surface is very good but not quite glassy but should get there with a little bit of use.
As always we are happy to take back pieces if you are not 100% satisfied. (Please see return policy)
