This appears to be a Favorite design, but as I can’t swear to it, we’ll call it an unmarked handled griddle, also called a round griddle.  As a user – i’s just perfect.  Great polishing marks, sits flat, glassy cooking surface.  Really an outstanding user

    Marked: “8” on the bottom.

    9” 3/4 diameter

Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.

No cracks chips or wobble when tested on a sheet of glass.  Cooking surface is glassy and smooth. Looks unused.

Made for use with a Favorite Stove between 1889-1933 this Ladies’s lifter (presumably named as cooking was primarily considered a woman’s task) was used for removing stove eyes, and certain types of cookware around a wood or coal stove.   Made of iron and steel with an alaska style wire coil.

Marked:  “Favorite” on one side and “Ladies” on the other.

    7” 1/2 inches long.

Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.

    No cracks, chips.

Nice little Favorite skillet made between 1916-1934 (when Favorite ceased to exist).  Lightweight piece for it’s size with very thin walls.  Cooking surface is glassy with minor tool marks and casting voids, but nothing significant.  There is what appears to be a casting void on the very top of one part of the wall of the skillet at about the 4 O’Clock position – while it could be a small nick, based on the shape I don’t think so (very smooth and rounded).

    Marked: “Favorite Piqua Ware 3c”

    6” 1/2 diameter

Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.

No cracks, chips.  Small wobble when tested on a sheet of glass.   Cooking surface is glassy but has some tool marks and small casting voids from inclusions in the sand when cast.  Should only improve with use.

Favorite never made a handled griddle smaller than this one and it is a VERY uncommon piece as it is even smaller than the Wagner #6 round griddle.  You can still see the ghost of where the Favorite Piqua Ware was blocked out on this skillet.  Made between 1916-1934.  This one is a true collector piece in outstanding condition.  Sits flat, great polishing marks (often incorrectly called mill marks) and a glassy cooking surface.  Ready to be used or hung on a wall.  Only flaws on this piece are flea bite tool marks (very fine) and typical casting flaws.  The stone polished cooking surface (factory done) is beautiful.  Bottom shows that the polishing was only done on the cooking surface.  Really a special piece.

Marked: “7” with what appears to be half a “B” on the bottom, where you can also see where the Favorite Piqua Ware logo was blocked out..

    8” 5/8 diameter

Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.

No cracks, chips, bow or wobble when tested on a sheet of glass.   Cooking surface is glassy with very few flea bite tool marks.  Will only get better with use.

Very pretty number in diamond skillet size #5 (8”) skillet.  This is one of the pans made after Chicago Hardware Foundry acquired the designs and patterns of the Favorite Stove and Range cookware line in 1933-1934.  It is identical in appearance to those made pre 1933 by Favorite.   Features and outset heat ring along the bottom edge of the pan.  This will be a great user or collector piece.  Should be good on any stove.
Marked: with the number “5” in diamond.

    Size: 8” Diameter

Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.

No cracks or chips or wobble when tested on a sheet of glass.  Cooking surface is glassy but has some flea bite tool marks which will fill in and only improve with use
