  • #707 Corn Creamer - 1

Sure don’t see many of these still around  which makes this one pretty cool.  Definitely an old farm piece.  Designed for creaming corn it has serrated teeth to rip open the corn kernels as your ran the ear of corn over it then a steel block (non sharpened) blade to milk out whatever was left inside when it bumped the opposite side.  The resulting slurry would end up in a catch tray below.  Aging this I’d say it was at least 100 years old.

    Measures roughly  10” 1/2 by 3” 1/4 long and 2” 5/8 high.

  • 1877-older-copper-sauce-pan-8-12-diameter-marked-with-2-sets-of-number1

    Item 1877
Sold as found not sure about the tinning on this one, as it’s pretty dirty, but it is an oldie for sure.

Gorgeous copper sauce pan, probably made in France.  Certainly a well loved piece as it has two sets of numbers on it – numbers were thought to the the markings of chefs who brought their own pots to restaurants where they worked, and denoted that the pot was owned by that chef.  Pieces with more than once set of numbers are believed to be piece that were handed down.  As this piece has two numbers, this may well be the case.   Based on the cast iron handles, hand made peans – suggest that this is from 1900-1930.  Looks like it was re-tinned at least once as you can see some drips of tin on the interior.  2mm thick walls.  Should be a great user.

    Marked with a small 66, and a larger 22

  • #1219 Ring mold for candy making3

    Item 1219
    Sold as found.

Interesting mold that appears to be chocolate, donuts or candy rings.  Appears to be cast aluminum with a iron hinge pin, but it could be tin.  Fairly heavy for the size.  3” 5/8 diameter.   Roughly 1” tall.  Hinged.  Not magnetic except at the pin.  Seems to be in excellent shape.  Looks like it could just be washed and used
Marked: with a number which is unreadable.  Three digits – maybe a 308 or something like that.

    No cracks or chips.

  • #2329 Lg Copper sauce pan dovetailed - 1

    Item 2329
Sold as found – totally unrestored as desired by collectors.

    Very Cool piece!!

One of the oldest copper pieces I’ve found. Handle style suggest it is at least 150 years old. Dovetailed bottom (made in two pieces), smith made beaten handle that looks like copper, but could be bronze, with handmade peens. Handle has the markings “00” on it which many believe are owner marks. Very heavy piece weighing almost 3 1/2 pounds. Probably French in origin. I have not even cleaned it, but it looks like the tinning on this one is pretty good and may not need to be redone.

    Marked “00” on the handle.

    8” 7/8 diameter, 4” 3/8 deep, 11” 3/4 handle

    Unrestored. Sold as found.

Who would have thought a company called Steelmasters would have produced an aluminum grease can?  Not I for sure, but as it’s not magnetic and my gut feel right off was that it was aluminum I’m ok with that.  Anyhow a nice can for storing grease made in the 1950s or 1960s.

Marked:  “Grease” on the side and Steelmasters, Inc, Made in Italy on the bottom.

Marked: with a raised “5” on the bottom.

Wagner cast aluminum #5 oval roaster with matching trivet and lid c. 1920. In great shape and ready to be used.  Roaster has been cleaned and lightly polished.  It could be more finely polished but this was really meant to have more of a matte finish (as opposed to the chrome-like exterior of the Magnalite line).  This one is in very good shape with minor tool marks and pinpoint pits typical of early cast aluminum.

Marked: Body: “Wagner Ware Sidney -O-” high logo, then “Oval Roaster 265 M”  Trivet marked: “5 M”.  Lid Marked on interior “Wagner Ware Sidney -O-” high logo, then “265 M”  then “Patented Dec., 4 -17. Feb., 10-20. Mch., 8-21.Mch., 12-22.”

    16” long  (handle to handle)  x  9” 3/4 wide, x 4” high (without lid)
