This is a promotional advertising skillet made for Dwight Eisenhower’s 1952 presidential run for president. This is a VERY rare piece as not a single cast iron collector or any of the presidential collectors we have spoken to have ever seen one. It appears to have been cast by Martin Stove and Range in Birmingham Alabama based on the design and style. It looks like it was originally plated with brass and swathes of it remain and what is left is a very cool patina. This is a special piece for any collector.

This is an oddball piece. Clearly Lodge, clearly hammered, but larger than most of the Lodge toy skillets that you see. My initial impression is that this was for a larger cast iron play set from back in the day but I am not sure this wasn’t a promotional item or even a size 1 skillet from Lodge’s hammered line. Either way it’s a cool little piece, not finely polished but quite nice.
No markings
3” 7/8 diameter
Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.
No cracks, chips. Tiniest hint of wobble when tested on a sheet of glass. Very nice casting.
$35 shipped, but get a $5 shipping rebate if you buy it with another full sized piece that includes shipping.

My initial impression is that this was for a larger cast iron play set from back in the day but I am not sure this wasn’t a promotional item or even a size 1 skillet from Lodge’s hammered line. The made in USA on the bottom is unusual too – as it’s tiny, and not in the same style as the 1960s made in USA markings. That makes me think it’s much earlier. Either way it’s a cool little piece, not finely polished but quite nice.

Toy Lodge hammered skillet. Made as part of toy set to match with mom’s cookware and be used on a toy stove. These were made from the 1930s to the 1960s. They could be used, but really were meant for being part of a play set.

This is a toy waffle iron made by Stover. Stover made cast iron from 1879-1942, but their hollowware seems to have been limited to waffle irons, and these toy waffle irons the were replicas of the adult size, right down to the #8 found on the fully marked one. This one is in remarkably good shape – there is some minor rust. Base still has most of the original japanning. This will be a great collector piece. This piece can be restored for an additional charge.

Cute Single spout skillet by unknown maker. This could be a very old piece – and that is my gut feeling. This is a single spouted skillet with a handle that resembles both G.F Filley in shape, but with the handle ridge typical of a BSR skillet. That said it could have been made by almost anyone. Deep inset heat ring. Casting is nice but unpolished. Very shallow skillet.

Here are three Wagner Ware toys/miniatures dating back 85-110 years ago. In excellent shape, all original, not reproductions. Pieces any collector would love to have.

Second: Marked: Wagner Ware Sidney -0- skillet 4″1/2 diameter, another beautiful piece.
Lastly – and the most desirable: the fully marked “”Wagner” Sidney , 0 Pat’d Feb 22, 1910″ Waffle iron with base.
