Very pretty! Wapak scotch bowl made from Erie patterns with some ghosting of Erie markings (size number and pattern number). Wapak used a lot of the Erie patterns when Griswold/Erie was done with them. This is made from the 781 scotch bowl pattern and while most of the Erie markings were covered over you can still read the size and pattern numbers. Hs the Wapak double circle logo. Interior of the bowl is very good but has some tool marks and minor scarring from pinpoints of rust. Not quite glassy, but this one should get there easy. Bottom shows some pitting from wood stove use. I use a very similar one as a wok in my home.
Marked: Wapak double circle logo and has the ghost numbers “3” and “781”
10” diameter (excluding ears and tabs)
Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.
No cracks, chips, bow, or wobble when tested on a sheet of glass. Cooking surface is has minor flaws – flea bite tool marks, and some tiny pits that should smooth over with seasoning and only improve.
