Please note all pictures on our site are of the actual piece you will receive, not a stock photo of a similar piece.  Additionally all our pieces unless marked otherwise are fully restored and seasoned.  Just wash them and start cooking.

Arc Logo “Wagner” flat bottom kettle made between 1890-1920.  Close to if not over 100 years old.  Essentially this is a great stew pot like a deep dutch oven.  Cooking surface still has traces of mill marks but also has some flaws (pitting in a few spots), and tool marks.  Great piece.  Sits flat.

Markings:  “Wagner” Sidney O 8 (on the bottom)

    Size: 10”  diameter, 6” 7/8 tall.

Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil

No cracks, chips, wobble or bow, when tested on a sheet of glass.  Cooking surface is very good but there are some pits.  Will improve with use.

  • 1815-griswold-symbol-ware-aluminum-do-81

    Item 1815

Outstanding condition ready to use.  Sold as found.  Just wash it and start using

Griswold participated in the midcentury modern design era by hiring designer Peter Muller-Munk to design cast aluminum pots with a distinctive wing handle design and a rather unique design on the bottom leading to the style being called Symbol Ware.  This is a beautiful dutch oven slightly deeper than your standard #8 dutch oven.  Comes with the original high dome lid.  Really just needs a washing before it can be put right to use.  Someone is going to love this.  Could be polished up to gorgeous if you were so inclined.  Has the Griswold sunburst pattern on the bottom that was typical of the Symbol Ware.

Marked:  “Griswold R 98” on the bottom of the base.

    10” 5/8 diameter (excluding handles) x ~4” 7/8 tall.

    Sold as found.

  • #1602 Taiwan 6.5 in half skillet1

    Item 1602

Please note all pictures on our site are of the actual piece you will receive, not a stock photo of a similar piece.  Additionally all our pieces unless marked otherwise are fully restored and seasoned.  Just wash them and start cooking.

We don’t sell a lot of asian iron on our sight, mainly because so much of it is lower quality than we like.  BUT occasionally we come across some very nice pieces that we think people will really like.  This short walled skillet which only stands 7/8 of an inch tall but is pretty much perfect called out to us.  Seemed just perfect for the making of a tart or shallow pastry.  Glassy cooking surface, sits flat.  Really a sweet piece.  $13 plus the shipping is what we pegged this at – but we’ll give a $7 rebate if you buy this one with a larger piece that includes the shipping.  Note.  there are some marks on the side of the pour spout on one side.  Looks like maybe they were trying to make some grooves in the wall?

Marked: Bottom is marked “6 1/2 inch skillet Taiwan 5” on it.  There is a raised symbol that looks like an H on the handle that may well tell the maker.

    6” 1/2 diameter

Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.

No cracks, chips or wobble when tested on a sheet of glass.  Cooking surface is glassy to the touch with just light tool marks on the cooking surface and it should only improve with use.

$25 shipped (get a $7 shipping rebate when purchased with a larger piece that includes shipping)

    Item 1925

Please note all pictures on our site are of the actual piece you will receive, not a stock photo of a similar piece.  Additionally all our pieces unless marked otherwise are fully restored and seasoned.  Just wash them and start cooking.

No one knows which foundry really made these skillets, but they are widely believed to have been made in western NY or PA, as that seems to be the area where they are most commonly found.  They are heavy, and have a heavy (large dimple) hammered pattern in the iron compared to those made by Griswold, Wagner, Lodge or Chicago Hardware.  Certainly vintage going back until at least the 1950s and possibly as early as the 1910-1920 period.
Good piece typical of this foundry.  Heavy hammered pattern on the outer wall.  Very good which has some minor casting flaws and an almost glassy smooth cooking surface  (with a few scars) when you run fingers over it.  Should only improve as it’s used.  Tiny wobble means but so small it should be good on any range.

Marked: “3” on the top of the handle.  A single dimple on the underside of the handle is the only other marking.

    6” 1/8 diameter

Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.

No cracks, chip.  Very small wobble when tested on a sheet of glass.  Cooking surface is almost glassy but will only get better with use.

Good piece typical of this foundry.  Heavy hammered pattern on the outer wall.  Decent cooking surface which has some minor casting flaws and an almost smooth cooking surface when you run fingers over it.  Should only improve as it’s used.  Small wobble means its a really good piece for a gas range, not so good on glass.

Marked: “3” on the top of the handle.  Two dimples on the underside of the handle is the only other marking.

    6” 1/8 diameter

Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.

This is a pretty typical piece from this foundry – very nice but has some highly visible pouring flaws, but those only make this a bit more interesting.  Uneven cooking surface with areas that are smoother and areas that are more pebbled.  There are some very minor voids on the cooking surface but those will fill in with use.  Very thin handle

Marked: “3” on the top of the handle.  A pair  of dimples on the underside of the handle is the only other marking.

    6” diameter

Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.

No cracks, chips.  Wobbles when tested on a sheet of glass.  Cooking surface is decent and uneven with some better polished areas and some pebbled areas when touched. Will cook very well and improve with use.

Lower grade user piece.  Hammered.  Sits flat, but has a pitted cooking surface which is usable but ugly and will take a fair bit of time to fill in and smooth over.   A cheap hammered piece for someone.  Would be a great wall hanger.

Marked: “5” on the top of the handle.  Four dimples on the underside of the handle is the only other marking.

    8” diameter

Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.

    Item 1361

Please note all pictures on our site are of the actual piece you will receive, not a stock photo of a similar piece.  Additionally all our pieces unless marked otherwise are fully restored and seasoned.  Just wash them and start cooking.

This is an oddball piece.  Clearly Lodge, clearly hammered, but larger than most of the Lodge toy skillets that you see.  My initial impression is that this was for a larger cast iron play set from back in the day but I am not sure this wasn’t a promotional item or even a size 1 skillet from Lodge’s hammered line.   Either way it’s a cool little piece, not finely polished but quite nice.

    No markings

    3” 7/8 diameter

Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.

No cracks, chips.  Tiniest hint of wobble when tested on a sheet of glass.  Very nice casting.

$35 shipped, but get a $5 shipping rebate if you buy it with another full sized piece that includes shipping.

  • #1996 plated #3 Wagner 1053 sk1

    Item 1996

Please note all pictures on our site are of the actual piece you will receive, not a stock photo of a similar piece.  Additionally all our pieces unless marked otherwise are fully restored and seasoned.  Just wash them and start cooking.

This is a Wagner Ware # 3 skillet made between 1930-1960.  It was the luxury model – plated with nickel to give a more “modern” look for the housewife of the age who didn’t want to be seen as old fashioned in the kitchen.  The plating on this one isn’t bad, but you can see where it has worn away in spots.  That is only external and won’t detract from usability.  Has a glassy cooking surface which is flat, glassy and still shows signs of mill marks.
Markings: “Wagner Ware Sidney -O-” (the high stylized logo) then “1053A” on the bottom and “3” on the handle.
    Size: 6” 1/2 diameter
Cleaned lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil
No cracks, chips.   Small wobble when tested on a sheet of glass, so not ideal for a glass top stove.  Cooking surface is really superb, nice and glassy with very, very light flea bite tool marks.  Should only get better with use.

Unmarked Wagner #5 skillet.  Decent user quality skillet.  Almost glassy has some minor tool marks and some minor pouring flaws but nothing that won’t fade away as the seasoning builds up and darkens.   Wobbles due to a center bow so not good for a glass top stove as it will spin.  Should be great on gas or coils..

Marked: with a “A” mold mark on the triangle underneath the handle

    8” diameter

Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.

No cracks, chips. Fair degree of wobble due to a center bow when tested on a sheet of glass.  Cooking surface is smooth and almost glassy to the touch.  It has light tool marks, but it should only improve with use.
