Please note all knife blades have been professionally restored, with the blade polished and sharpened. RAZOR SHARP.
This is a razor sharp vintage fully restored utility knife with full tang, what appear to be walnut (sorry not a wood expert)scales, and double rivet design. It is ready for immediate use. Not perfect, but a really nice knife.

*High carbon steel knives are highly sought after knives loved by professional and home cooks alike due to the quality of the steel, the edge it maintains and the hardness that is not matched by other knives. If you don’t believe me, take a look the opinions of Alton Brown. Please note these are NOT stainless steel knives, they do require a little bit of care (prompt washing and drying after use, occasional sharpening, etc), but hey, if you can maintain a cast iron pan you’ll find this a piece of cake. Over time they will develop a patina, and even stain. But they are probably the best quality steel knives you’ll ever use.

At first glance this seems a very ordinary fancy handled round griddle, but when you turn it over you see a very unique handle design and unusual marking. I have no clue who made this piece (and I’d really like to know as it is one of the coolest handled griddles I’ve ever stumbled across). Handle is hollowed on the upper side with what almost appears to be a deep well at the edge where the handle meets the griddle. Cooking surface shows some some big voids where pouring occurred and air or debris was trapped. Outside of that area surface is very nicely smoothed. Bottom has a nice distinct inset heat ring. Inside the ring you can see minor pitting from use on a wood stove.
Only marking is a “9”
10” 1/2 diameter
Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.
No cracks, chips. Small wobble when tested on a sheet of glass. Cooking surface primitive with some casting flaws but pretty good for the age. Will only get better with use.

Collector grade! This one is a bit of a mystery, I’m not sure if this was sprue marked, bottom gated, or side gated. Based on the style, I’d lean towards this being a 1870-1910 piece, and it has marks that look like, a sprue, a side gate, and under a bright light even a bottom gate. Thus I’m basing the age on design and bail material (which says it was made after 1865 to possibly as late as 1920). Really nicely designed and beautifully cast. Spectacular polishing marks, New England style ears, and heat ring. Almost glassy to the touch cooking surface – which isn’t quite perfect due to casting flaws, including pour line where the mold wasn’t perfect and tiny casting voids (almost looks like very superficial pinpoint pitting). Center of the griddle like many that were cast this thin shows a downward bow which could not be polished away. Bottom shows some broad shallow pitting from use over a wood stove. Edges show grind marks where the foundry removed flash, or a side gate. Remarkable for the age.
Marked: Has a raised number 14 about 1/2” high.
13” 3/4 diameter (excluding ears)
Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil
No cracks or chips, and no movement when you rock it from the center. From the edge you can get a tiny bit of movement BUT that’s due to the center of gravity on a piece this wide and this old. There are some imperfections on the edge which you can see look a tiny bit like gate marks but it probably was from being touched up at the factory before it was sent out (see photo). the center also has a bit of a bow, but that’s very common on pieces of this age, or even of this width. This will be a glassy, top flight user after just a handful of uses. This one is an absolute amazing example of an 19th century griddle

This is an great bailed griddle, over 100 years old. It has raised number “14” and mold on the bottom and New England style ears. Cooking surface is outstanding, mostly flat and smooth but has some interesting pouring flaws, and a few tool marks. The bottom shows a light uniform sulfur pitting which occurred from use over a wood stove. Will be outstanding for pizza and the like. Please note – bails on these were really for storage and stabilization, not for hanging your piece over s fire (they do tip).
Marked only “14” in raised numbers on the bottom.
14” 1/8 diameter
Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.
No cracks, or chips. Tiniest hint of a wobble when tested on a sheet of glass. Cooking surface is outstanding for the age, but not dead flat as pouring flaws provide some bumps in the surface. Will only get better.

Another piece of the blacksmith’s art, this mezzaluna (demi luna) shaped knife is of the type that could be used for scraping things like hides, but also for chopping using a rolling motion.
No markings.
blade is roughly 7” 1/4 long. Blade to base of handle length ~ 6” handle is just over 1” thick.

Not cast iron but blacksmith made wrought iron. Nice three prong (fork like) tip on both sides of the tongs. Not sure what these were used for but they tested negative for lead or heavy metals, so they’ll be fine for food use. Cleaned and seasoned. Hand peened attachment. Delicate and finely made. These would be amazing as a display piece.

Blacksmith made wrought iron straight skewer over 15” long with the number 19 marked in the side. I suspect this was made for cooking meat, but I’m not 100% sure on that. Has a large circular ring with a 2” 1/2 diameter for gripping on one end. VERY sharp.
Only marking is the number 19 which appears to have been hammered into the iron using a die. Because of that, and the fact it is blacksmith work it was probably made after 1850, but prior to 1870, when cheaper man made wire would have been available for use for items like this.

A real mystery piece, and a very uncommon one as few foundries made dutch ovens in this size. This is a gate marked dutch oven body made after 1865 but before 1900. Gate is wide and crude which suggests an earlier date but the bail is machined wire, which was not available until after 1962. While the bail could be a replacement, I don’t feel comfortable dating he piece as earlier. Pot interior surface is pitted but not enough to prevent use. Markings are all on bottom and are raised and crude.
Marked: “8 IN 1” on the bottom surrounding the bottom gate
8” diameter, ~3 high
Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.
No cracks, chips. Wobbles on it’s gate. Cooking surface is pitted but not enough to prevent use. Will only get better.

This is an old hand forged mezzaluna/ulu style knife made for rolling to chop or scraping. It appears to be hand forged, but I cannot 100% swear to that. There are no markings anywhere on the blade or handle. Blade is roughly 5” 1/2 long and is about 4” 1/2 inches set away from the 5” 1/4 long handle.
Based on style and materials I’d say this is a pre 1900 knife.
