Item 1731
Sometimes we run across something that is not iron, but really is too cool, or too useful to leave behind. This is one of those pieces.
Art Deco kitchen stuff. Amazing display piece.
Well I’ve never seen another quite like this – its a really cool electric grill/toaster/broiler combination but really it was pretty much the first electric stove. Appears to be unused It was made between 1912-1927 (that is the date range for Edison Electric Appliance Co after which it became Edison General Electric Co.). This one had the ability to cook two dishes at once, one under the heating element, and one on the top. According to the label it was capable of poaching, broiling, boiling, toasts, and frying.
Has three distinct cooking levels – and a cooking surface for each one – a steel griddle level for the top a lower deeper drawer for broiling, and a poacher with 4 cups. All of which are slide in shelf types.
Has the original paper label. It’s actually an amazingly cool piece of home tech and very retro!
Sold as found. No cord, but I bet it would still work.
$75 shipped.
As always we are happy to take back pieces if you are not 100% satisfied. (Please see return policy)
