Cast Iron nutcracker that appears to have been made for shelling walnuts. This style started bing used about 1880 and was probably popular up until the 1930s. I’d guess this one is early 20th century. This device makes it easy to shell large numbers of nuts in a very short time. Piece is mounted on a hardwood base. Has a hook for hanging.
Base is 10” 1/2 x 3
