I don’t know a lot about Findlay except that they were in business for over a century making iron in Carleton Place Ontario. I don’t find a large amount of Canadian iron and I’ve never found a #6 skillet by this company. This one doe not sit flat as it has a good center bow. Still it’s an awfully pretty skillet with interesting markings – you might call them ghosts from a previous pattern. I can only making out a DD and a few other letters. Beautiful stone polished interior with great polishing marks. Almost glassy to the touch and will get there with just a little use.
Marked: “Findlay Carelton Place Ont No6” on the bottom of the pan.
Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.
No cracks, chips. Big wobble when tested on a sheet of glass. Cooking surface is almost glassy, and looks unused. Should become glassy smooth with use.
As always we are happy to take back pieces if you are not 100% satisfied. (Please see return policy)
