Please note all pictures on our site are of the actual piece you will receive, not a stock photo of a similar piece. Additionally all our pieces unless marked otherwise are fully restored and seasoned. Just wash them and start cooking.
Better for display than use. This is one of the smallest old spider skillets (skillet with legs) with the rounded bottom (posnet style) we have found. Handle dates this to just before to just after the civil war. While this piece could be used it will make a better display piece due to pitting. Bottom gated. This piece may have never have had a lid but the lipped rim that suggests a lid could have been used. Stands on three stubby legs. Size would have made this a #5 skillet.
8” 1/4 diameter
Cleaned via lye method, hand buffed and seasoned with 3 layers of non-GMO canola oil.
No cracks, chips. Stands on three legs. Fair bit of pitting make this one better for display than use, but it would improve with use.
As always we are happy to take back pieces if you are not 100% satisfied. (Please see return policy)
